Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
Live, Work & Settle in Atlantic Canada – A Pathway to Permanent Residency
The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a federal initiative designed to attract skilled workers and international graduates to Canada’s Atlantic provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
This employer-driven program helps local employers fill labour gaps by hiring foreign talent and offering them a pathway to permanent residence in Canada. Since its launch, the AIP has successfully contributed to population growth and economic development across Atlantic Canada.
How the Atlantic Immigration Program Works
To immigrate through the AIP, you must:
Receive a job offer from a designated employer in one of the Atlantic provinces
Create an individual settlement plan
Meet specific work experience, education, and language criteria
